Bieg Iskry 2026 15/06/2026 The unfavorable, rainy weather didn't deter enthusiasts of a healthy, active lifestyle and 500 of them gathered at Mielec Airport on Saturday evening to participate in the "Bieg Iskry." The start, finish, and award ceremony were held in the hangars of the Fundacja Biao-Czerwone Skrzydła. Several hundred runners covered the 6.5 km (4.1 mi) runway at Mielec Airport. In addition to enthusiastic support from fans, runners received commemorative medals, as well as running t-shirts, and, for the winners of the open and age categories, statuettes featuring the legendary Iskra aircraft. Media patronage for the event was provided by Radio Leliwa, portale hej.mielec.pl, promocja.mielec.pl, korso.pl, Tygodnik Regionalny Korso and Mielec TV. The first to cross the finish line with a time of 20:03 was Andrzej Szpunar. Firma Tarapata Sp. z o.o. team was represented by three athletes: Szymon Tarapata (39th place/open, 11th place/age category), Mateusz Durtka (7th place/open, 2nd place/age category) and Kamil Koper (284th place/open, 93rd place/age category).
