The unfavorable, rainy weather didn't deter enthusiasts of a healthy, active lifestyle and 500 of them gathered at Mielec Airport on Saturday evening to participate in the \"Bieg Iskry.\" The start, finish, and award ceremony were held in the hangars of the Fundacja Biao-Czerwone Skrzyd\u0142a. Several hundred runners covered the 6.5 km (4.1 mi) runway at Mielec Airport. In addition to enthusiastic support from fans, runners received commemorative medals, as well as running t-shirts, and, for the winners of the open and age categories, statuettes featuring the legendary Iskra aircraft.\nMedia patronage for the event was provided by Radio Leliwa, portale hej.mielec.pl, promocja.mielec.pl, korso.pl, Tygodnik Regionalny Korso and Mielec TV.\nThe first to cross the finish line with a time of 20:03 was Andrzej Szpunar.
